I am slowly but surely getting caught up on blogging. It's taken me longer than I thought, but I am chugging along.
I love being a maternity photographer in Sarasota, Florida. This particular maternity shoot was amazing! This gorgeous mama is from the time I spent with Nicole Everson learning all things maternity and newborn (you can read more about my mentoring session here).
We hopped in Nicole's car and she said, "Okay, what are we going to do with this mama?"
Me = Panicked! UM.....I don't know!
Nicole drove us to a local park. I remember her commenting that her daughters played softball at this field. It looked just like a run of the mill park, however there were some BEAUTIFUL trees with moss hanging on them. The way the light was shining through the trees and moss was gorgeous, so we told the mama to hop out of the car. In this moment I learned a lot about location -- that maybe it isn't all about the perfect spot, but the PERFECT light. That was kind of a game changer!
Anyways, this mama looked absolutely gorgeous in the dress Nicole had picked out from her. We walked over to a spot where the sun peeped through the moss, and started shooting. It was so simple and easy, and the light was beautiful.
We moved to one other spot at the park, and then Nicole asked me again where we should go. I loved the idea of having some leading lines, so we went over near a little railroad station that was a really color blue. Our mama had changed into another dress at this point, and I LOVE this dress for the location we chose. It was really pretty and she got to let some of personality show. We had a really great time and I thinks he got some memorable images out of it, too! A win-win for all :)
I love being able to capture this moment of time for pregnant mamas and families. If you or anyone you know is having a baby, I would be honored to give them some memories of this important time in their life. You can get in touch with me under the CONTACT tab on my website. I can't wait to work with you!
