To say I was excited for this newborn shoot would be an understatement!
My sister-in-law and brother-in-law welcomed another beautiful newborn baby boy into our family on March 19th at 7:50AM, weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces and 19inches long. I could not wait to get my hands on Baby Charlie, and take newborn photos of him and my equally as adorable nephew, Charlie's big brother, Calvin.
Honestly, this is one of the reasons why we were excited to move a little further south into Florida. We were happy to have our kids grow up with their cousins and have a relationship with them and their aunts and uncles. Even though we may not see them every free moment, it's nice to know that they are so close by and we can be there for each other for all of the important little moments in life like birthdays, holidays, etc. I am so excited to watch these little guys grow up and to watch their relationship with my kiddos blossom!
I feel so lucky to have been able to capture these newborn, sweet moments with Charlie. I also took Calvin's newborn pictures back when he was born. See any similarities? Here is a little comparison....
Ohhhh! Those pics showed a little growth in my photography, too! That's always nice to see :)
Anyways, I love when I am able to get the whole family involved in a newborn photo session! It's so great to be able to document when your family grows and that new little addition. Sometimes, it can feel overwhelming to get everyone out of the house and to the session, but I feel like the payoff is so great! It's just a couple hours of your life, and not matter how much you don't feel like doing it or how overwhelming it may seem at the moment, the fact that you will always have these pictures to treasure far outweighs those feelings once it is over. I have never, ever had a mom say she regrets it.
I am so grateful that I get to do this for my family. I feel like there isn't a better for me to show how much I love my little nephews than to help document their lives.
Congrats again, Rachel and Karl! We love you guys so much, and can't wait to watch these boys grow! xoxo
